This video is from a spot along the western rim of Kīlauea's caldera. Lava can be seen erupting from a fissure vent in the northwest wall of Halemaʻumaʻu crater. Lava is cascading into the deepest part of Halemaʻumaʻu crater, which was occupied by a water lake until earlier this evening (on December 20, 2020). The water lake has been replaced with a growing lava lake. | USGS Volcanoes
