An exploding lithium-ion battery in an illegal e-bike repair shop in the basement of a home in Queens sparked a huge fire that tore through the single-family house, FDNY officials said Tuesday.

The fire broke out around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Finmore Apartments along Shadowline Drive in Boone.
